Layout Reel: A Pail of Possibilities
i think i've had just about enough of tweaking and playing around with the composition, layout and cameras of the film, so here is the final product. some changes might still occur but that will be for a later date. time to take the next big step and animate!
as always comments and constructive criticisms are greatly appreciated
if you think that the above video does injustice to the work, or you cannot tell what is going on in between all those gray objects, you can download a higher quality .mov file here
enjoy

Leica Reel: A Pail Of Possibilities
Well after the end of the first term of 4th, and final, year at Sheridan, the following is my take on an old tale which i am trying to retell.
Enjoy.
A few things to note;
- the Music is a temporary scratch track and the clips from Beethoven, Stravinsky, Smetana and Tchaikovsky are meant to emphasize the mood of the story. (although the clips make the story a little more epic then i intend it to be)
- due to the lack of colour in the storyboards, and for those who still did not figure it out, the main character, Henry, falls into a pail of milk.
Comments and feedback are greatly appreciated, so do not hesitate to write something!

4 months and into 4th Year
the summer is over and with it so is my internship at guru studio.
it was an amazing experience and i thank everyone at the studio for accepting me with open arms and allowing me to learn and better myself in in such a short period of time. i will always have a little piece of the guru studio with me, plushy Uniqua is a constant reminder of the work i did and of which team i was a part of.
once again, Thank You.
now i'm back at sheridan college, which means i'm working on my 4th year independent animation project! which means i can post up images of the work that i will be doing (without any fear of legal prosecution) jks!!!!
i have dedicated my iperception sketches blog as my production, work in progress, film material hub. so if you want to see sketches and roughs go there. on this blog i will only post relatively finished works.
without further ado . . .
there are sketches of frogs available,

... two months later
wow, it has been 2 Months since my last post. thus i have been working at guru for the last 2 months as well, hahah, its awesome what can i say.
and no i am not tiered of the Backyardigans, though i do sometimes wish to shoot the person that rigged the characters and omitted the joint orientation in the arms of the characters, but enough of that.
i guess it will be back to school in about 2 months as well, so you will finally see some work appear as my 4th year film will be underway, for the few that are actually visiting my blog. most of my concept work and all the rough process will be in the ipSketches Blog, therefore more or less only final and clean work will be posted here.
i guess this is the half point.

Baron vs. Srg. Byron
Baron Walk Cycle Animation
Srg. Byron Lip Sync Animation
these were done during the first term of 3rd year, there were other assignments as well, maybe i'll get those posted some time in the future. since only in our 2nd term of 3rd year was to be dedicated to creating our own characters, these two characters belong, and were Modelled, Rigged, Skinned, etc. by our teacher Doug Smith. But the animation and lighting was done by yours truly.

Birth of an Idea
This post is dedicated for all those who are in third year animation at
This has been a rough year for all. As many of you know a new word has entered the jargon of our year. In order to celebrate the upcoming incompletion of our wonderful film, I wish to share with you, dear readers and bloggers, this wonderful word.
Demonbladed
de·mon·blad·ed, [dee-muh
n-d/ Pronunciation bley-did].
-verb
1. an unforeseen situation where a person or a group of people are in a situation so far beyond repair that it's unsalvageable in any way, shape or form.
[Origin: 2007, Sheridan College. As first defined by Aaron Lee, on March 7th 2007, at a production meeting with Tony Tarantini]
[last revised .2007.04.07.]
If you, fellow classmates, would like to add a definition to further explore and elaborate on the definition of this new word, by all means do so by submitting one in the comments section. Together, with a collaborative effort we can reach out into the outside world and spread the joys of using this significant word and achieve its mainstream use.

finally a new layout, which might be used to determine the overall look of the group film, while playing with compositional elements, hope you like it. Feedback is greatly appreciated so that i can improve in the near future, perhaps.

Rhythmic Beats
I think this last digital work concludes the series of animations that were done in first year at sheridan. Now all I've got to do is fix up my second year works, upload them to google video and eventually post them on the blog.
Any comments and suggestions regarding my work is greatly appreciated.
